Winnipeg man arrested, charged, in July homicide

Winnipeg police have made an arrest in connection with a road rage incident that resulted in a homicide last summer.

Nineteen-year-old Rahim Ahmadzai has been arrested in the death of Ryan Kelly Legary — an incident that took place July 23, 2020, at a Petro-Canada station at Lagimodiere Boulevard and Fermor Avenue.

Police said the two men pulled into the gas station’s parking lot after a road rage situation, and a verbal argument escalated to the point where Ahmadzai fatally stabbed Legary.

Ahmzadai faces manslaughter charges and is in custody.

Legary, 43, was Winnipeg’s 23rd homicide victim of last year.
