Police said officers responded to a medical call at 9:41 p.m. in the area of Murray Ross Parkway and Sentinel Road.

“Honestly, at first, I thought that it was due to the lack of face mask wearers in my building,” Jonathan Olenroot, a neighbour, told Global News on Friday.

But when officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman in a ninth-floor unit suffering from injuries. The woman, who was a tenant in the building, died at the scene.
