Man and woman rushed to hospital after domestic disturbance on Hamilton mountain

A disturbance on Hamilton’s west mountain has sent two people to hospital — one of them in life-threatening condition.

Shortly after 1 p.m. on Friday, Hamilton police asked the public to avoid the area of Upper Paradise Road and Bendamere Avenue, citing an ongoing investigation.

Police issued an update just after 4 p.m., saying a 63-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man were both stabbed during a “domestic incident”.

Both were rushed to hospital, with the woman reportedly suffering life-threatening injuries.

A 30-year-old man has been arrested.

There’s no word on charges at this point but police say the major crime unit is investigating.
