Winnipeg police investigate serious assault at hotel

Winnipeg police are investigating a serious assault that happened Saturday morning.

Police were called to the 600 block of Main Street for the report of an assault that sent three people to hospital before 7:30 a.m.

Police say when officers arrived they found three injured men in one of the hotel suites.

One man was transported to hospital in unstable condition and has since been upgraded to stable condition. The other two were transported in stable condition.

Police didn’t reveal how the people were injured or if any arrests have been made.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).

Back in April, 25-year-old Steven Anthony Sealy was stabbed at the Manwin hotel and died.

Police charged a 35-year-old man with manslaughter.
