37-year-old motorcyclist dead after crash in Vaughan

York Regional Police say a motorcyclist is dead after a crash in Vaughan Friday night.

A police spokesperson said officers were called to the area of Highway 7 and Centre Street after 10 p.m.

“When officers arrived they located a blue and white Suzuki motorcycle on Highway 7 West, southwest of Centre Street, but no rider,” police said in an updated news release.

“With the assistance of the York Regional Police helicopter Air2, the rider was located approximately 300 meters off of the roadway.”

Police said a 37-year-old man from Richmond Hill was pronounced dead.

Roads were closed in the area during the investigation but have since reopened.
