Woman dead after being stabbed at downtown Toronto convenience store, 24-year-old woman wanted

Toronto police say a woman is dead after being stabbed at a convenience store downtown on Wednesday and that a 24-year-old woman is wanted for the murder.

Emergency services responded to a call for a person with a knife in the area of Sherbourne Street and Dundas Street East just after 10 a.m.

Toronto paramedics said they transported a woman to hospital, where police confirmed she later died.

She was identified as 41-year-old Tara Morton.

Investigators said they are searching for 24-year-old Oleesiea Langdon, who is wanted for second-degree murder.

The circumstances that led to the stabbing are unclear.
