Cameron Street death is Regina’s 10th homicide: police

The killing of a Regina man has been ruled by police as murder, marking the incident as the city’s 10th homicide of 2020.

Ryan George Chevrier, 39, has been charged with second-degree murder in the killing of Matthew Joseph Bossenberry, 32.

The investigation began Monday after police were called to the 1200 block of Cameron Street at around 7 p.m. regarding a weapons office.

Bossenberry was pronounced dead on scene by EMS, say police.

His next of kin have been notified of his death.

Chevrier is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Wednesday.

Police continue to investigate.
