Man charged with impaired driving in Saskatchewan Drive and Broad Street crash

UPDATE: The Regina Police Service has charged a 49-year-old man with impaired driving causing bodily harm following a four-vehicle crash at the intersection of Broad Street and Saskatchewan Drive Tuesday morning.

Charlton Rye Lavallee of the Grenfell District appeared in court on Wednesday. A 19-year-old woman was injured in the collision and taken to hospital. Police did not provide an update on her injuries.

The intersection of Broad Street and Saskatchewan Drive in Regina has reopened after being temporarily closed due to a multi-vehicle collision involving injuries Tuesday morning.

Regina police confirmed to Global News that two people were transported to hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

An investigation is ongoing, police say. Traffic will be restricted throughout the investigation.
