A crash between a semi and a van has claimed one life.
The accident happened just before 4:30 Wednesday afternoon on Hwy. 97A between Enderby and Armstrong, just south of the drive-in theatre.
The 49-year-old driver was killed. She was from Enderby.
A two-year-old boy was also in the van in a car seat.
Thankfully, witnesses managed to pull him out before the van burst into flames. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
A 36-year-old Peachland man was driving the semi, and was taken to hospital with broken wrists.
Police say charges will not be laid, as witnesses say the driver of the minivan crossed the centre line into oncoming traffic.
A motorcycle moved to avoid a head-on with the van, and subsequently the van impacted the semi.
