A spokesperson for Edmonton Fire Rescue Services said the department received a call at 5:38 a.m. reporting black smoke from the roof of the club, located along Gateway Boulevard at 46 Avenue.

Video from the Global 1 News helicopter showed firefighters using ladder trucks to battle the blaze.

Crews were still on scene shortly before 10 a.m.

No injuries were reported, according to EFRS. Fire investigators were also on scene Thursday morning.

This isn’t the first time this week EFRS has been called to club.

Just after 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters were called to a working fire at Diamond’s. The blaze was brought under control by 3:02 a.m. and it was fully extinguished by 6:13 a.m.
