TORONTO — Members of the press were briefly allowed into Ste-Agnès Church in Lac-Megantic on Monday, where the town has been mourning the loss of residents whose lives ended suddenly over a week ago after a train derailed and exploded.

Ste-Agnès’ bell tolled 50 times on Saturday, once for each of the lost lives. Thirty-five bodies have been found after a runaway train derailed, detonating in the downtown core. Fifteen others are still missing and presumed dead.
