Winnipeg police arrest 29-year-old man accused of luring child online

Winnipeg police say they have arrested a man who is accused of luring a child online.

Police said the Internet Child Exploitation Unit started investigating the 29-year-old man, who was pretending to be a 14-year-old boy online, on June 25.

The man was in contact with the victim, who was under 14, for about a month. When the victim’s parents found out about the messages, they called police.

On July 14, the ICE Unit arrested a man from Winnipeg after an undercover investigation.

Kenneth Dale Emerson faces two charges of luring a person under the age of 16 by means of telecommunication.
