One charged after body found in Shediac, N.B.

MONCTON, N.B. – A man has been charged in the death of another man whose body was found in the southeastern New Brunswick community of Shediac.

Romeo Cormier, 51, of the Shediac area made a court appearance today in Moncton on a charge of criminal negligence causing death. Police continue to look for at least two other suspects in the murder.

The body of Marcel Brun, 48, of Shediac was found Wednesday outside his Gallagher Street residence.

An autopsy was held today to determine the cause of death but results have yet to be made available.

Cormier was remanded until a court appearance next Wednesday for a bail hearing. No further details have been released at this time.
