Wall still one of Canada’s most popular premiers: poll

Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall is still one of the most popular in Canada, according to a new Angus Reid Public Opinion poll.

Wall received backing from sixty per cent of the respondents in Saskatchewan. He has kept his approval rating consistent throughout 2010, and even improved by four points since February.

Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams, who is expected to step down on Friday, led the country with 67 per cent approval.

Wall and Williams were the only two premiers to receive an approval rating over 50 per cent.

Quebec’s Jean Charest is at the bottom of the list with 14 per cent. Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach received a 21 per cent approval rating and Manitoba’s Greg Selinger received 28 per cent.
