No new cases of the novel coronavirus have been found in Manitoba, keeping the province’s case numbers at 294.
Dr. Brent Roussin, the province’s chief medical health officer, said 1,115 lab tests were done on Thursday.
No one is in hospital or intensive care, and the number of active cases remains at 14. Seven people have died, while 273 people have recovered.
Shared Health’s chief nursing officer, Lanette Siragusa, said that due to the pandemic, wait times in hospitals are at historic lows.
On average, people are waiting in hospital emergency rooms for only 38 minutes.
On Thursday, two new cases were identified in two men in their 20s in Winnipeg. Those two cases were related to travel, said Roussin.
The province will ease restrictions on Monday as Manitoba moves into Phase 2 of its reopening plan.
