Tornado warnings ended in southeast Sask.

SASKATOON – Environment Canada has ended tornado and severe thunderstorms warnings in parts of Saskatchewan.

Meteorologists say they are tracking a dangerous thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes in southeast Saskatchewan.

A trough of low pressure moving through southeast Saskatchewan was expected to trigger thunderstorms with large hail, damaging winds and frequent lightning this afternoon.

If threatening weather approaches residents are urged take immediate safety precautions.

The federal agency originally forecast severe thunderstorms to end by Saturday evening.

Residents can report severe weather to Environment Canada by calling 1-800-239-0484 and email photos into saskatoon@globalnews.ca.

  • R.M. of Calder including Calder and Wroxton
  • R.M. of Churchbridge including Churchbridge and MacNutt
  • R.M. of Saltcoats including Saltcoats and Bredenbury
  • R.M. of Langenburg including Langenburg Yarbo and Marchwell

Severe thunderstorm warning ENDED for:

  • R.M. of Grayson including Grayson Dubuc and Killaly
  • R.M. of Cana including Melville
