Thank You.
Merci.
Obrigado.
It sounds cliché but there really are no words to express how truly thankful I am for each and every one of you. Since coming to Saskatoon in November 2005, I have been blown away by the support and passion for local sports in both this City and Province! I’ve prided myself in providing you – our viewer – with the most comprehensive coverage of local sports this city has ever seen.
As a sports department, Kim Thue and I, have given fans their fill of hilites, post game reaction, stories, and more from the Saskatoon Blades, Saskatoon Hilltops, University of Saskatchewan Huskie Athletics, and so much more. We’ve brought you stories on individual athletes and their rise to glory. And we will continue to do so for as long as we can.
So thank-you for choosing us as your premiere destination for your local sports fix.
BEST LOCAL TV SPORTS
GLOBAL TV
After years of holding down a fully respectable second spot, Global TV breaks through and grabs top honours in the Local TV Sports category! Perennial winners CTV certainly aren’t going anywhere, as they place in a very close second, while CBC maintains their hold on third.
BEST SPORTS REPORTER
KEVIN JESUS, GLOBAL TV
When it comes to breaking down the scores and opining on the plays, our voters say nobody in the world of local sports does it better than Global TV’s Kevin Jesus! CTV’s Kevin Waugh, who’d won this category an impressive four times in a row before this year, has another strong showing while grabbing second spot, while local TSN correspondent/ Rawlco radio sports reporter Wray Morrison holds down third.
