Lethbridge police investigate suspicious death

Lethbridge police were called to investigate a suspicious death on Monday morning.

Just before 7 a.m.​, police said that officers located the body of a 43-year-old man inside one of the apartment units in the 200 block of 4 Avenue South.​

The death is being treated as suspicious and an autopsy will be conducted on the man’s body to help determine the cause of death, police said.

Police on scene told Global News they were called to the building for a welfare check. A forensics ​unit was also called to the scene.

Police weren’t able to release further details but said the public was not in danger.
