Global Toronto’s Leslie Roberts and Liza Fromer hosted the Canada Day celebrations at Mississauga Celebration Square on July 1st.
Event goers dropped by the Global Toronto tent to get their photo taken on a neat Canada Day background featuring Leslie and Liza.
The event kicked off with an official ceremony, which included Mayor Hazel McCallion and local Members of Parliament. The day was filled with performances from Afro-Brazilian dancers, Wheel of Destiny and some of the city’s best young artists. There were food vendors lining the park with everything from corn on the cob to pulled pork sandwiches. The night brought live performances from Young Empires and Down with Webster, finishing with an exciting fireworks display.
