A teenage boy died after a tragic accident at the top of Indian Arm in North Vancouver yesterday afternoon.
Shortly before 5 p.m. on Sunday, RCMP say a group of teenagers went to Granite Falls to spend the day swimming. The 16-year-old victim had been swimming with friends at the top of the falls when he got caught in the current and went over, falling 50 metres and hitting his head on the rocks below.
Witnesses tried to perform CPR but the teen was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner’s service is now investigating.
