2 dead, 1 child found unharmed in Brockville home: police

Brockville police open homicide and suicide investigation following early morning incident at Richards Street home – Apr 1, 2020

Brockville police say two people were found dead in a home in the city’s downtown area Wednesday morning.

Police say early in the morning on April 1, they received a call to check on the welfare of a person living at a home on Richards Street.

When police arrived, they had to force their way into the home.

Once inside the residence, police say they found a man and a woman already dead. They also found a young child, who was unharmed, police say.

The area is currently blocked off to traffic while Brockville police investigate.

Police say they are currently working with family members and are asking that people respect their privacy at the moment.

Police add that there is currently no danger to public safety.

More information will be given as it becomes available, police say.
