Premier Christy Clark has made a personal donation to help flood-stricken Albertans.

The Premier appeared on the News Hour Tuesday evening to say she had personally donated $250 of her own money to the Red Cross to support flood relief efforts.

Clark also promised continuing support from her government.

“We all have friends and family in Calgary and Alberta, and we’re not just friends, we are family,” says Clark.

“As a government we are on standby and we have made a standing offer for emergency personnel.”

Clark says Alberta made a request today for nurses and public health officers today, and those people will be heading to the province soon.
