The image is from India’s religious war featured on a digital billboard that is visible to motorists on the Queensborough Bridge.

In the picture, an elderly Sikh man can be seen lying on the ground with his turban removed and is surrounded by police who appear to be assaulting him.
The creators say the ad is meant for educational purposes.
The message is one of four digital signs that rotate in a continuous loop on the billboard.
