CALGARY – Mayor Naheed Nenshi got behind the controls of a C-Train on Friday, driving the car into the newly renovated LRT station on 7th Avenue and 4th Street downtown.
After months of construction, the 4th Street station official re-opened Friday morning.
Six stations in the core have now been rebuilt in the core.
“I think these stations have really improved the experience for riders in terms of safety, visibility and accessibility,” says Nenshi.
“In addition, all these stations are future proof because they are built for four-car trains.”
The city is working to redevelop all the stations along 7th Avenue.
