Officers say they were dispatched to a house that was fully engulfed in flames at Artemesia-Euphrasia Townline, east of Grey Road 13, at 7:14 a.m. Thursday.

At the scene, police were able to locate two of the three occupants living in the home, one of which was transported to the hospital by an ambulance with serious injuries. The third occupant was unaccounted for.

Artemesia-Euphrasia Townline was closed in the area for half of Thursday while Grey Highlands firefighters battled the flames.

Since remains have been found, the Ontario Coroner’s Office has become involved in the investigation. Grey Bruce OPP say they’re waiting for a post-mortem examination to take place before identifying the victim.

Police say they’ll be on scene until the investigation continues.
