While scouring “˜UsedRegina.com’ you may have come across a musical novelty, an antique upright piano is being given away.
“It’s got beautiful, beautiful sound” says current owner Kathy Adams. “It’s done everything from be a family heirloom in the house, to a bar piano room…”
Kathy’s family has owned the piano since the 1950’s but after a stroke, her right hand doesn’t play like it used to, and her beloved instrument sits quiet.
“I can’t play it, and it deserves to be played.”
So the instrument is up for sale online, but the price tag, like the piano, is far from ordinary.
Her ad requires the buyer write a letter about why they deserve the piano, how much they can afford, and most importantly, what meaning it would bring to their life.
“I want it to go to someone that can really enjoy it, and treat it with respect and somebody that loves music, LOVES IT, as much as we did.”
The ad will be open until November 15.
