PETIT-DE-GRAT, N.S. – Divers are expected to resume their search today for the body of a Cape Breton lobster fisherman who police say was murdered out on the water.

RCMP Cpl. Melanie Geoffrion says the crew hopes to continue sweeping the area around Petit-de-Grat for 43-year-old Phillip Boudreau.

Three lobster fishermen are charged with the second-degree murder of Boudreau, who was last seen at around 6 a.m. on June 1 while his overturned boat was found a short time later at the mouth of the harbour in Petit-de-Grat.

A body has not been recovered, but police say they have grounds to believe there was an altercation between the fishermen.

Geoffrion would not comment on the investigation, but says there was a dispute between the men about lobster traps.

Forty-year-old Craig Landry, 43-year-old Dwayne Matthew Samson and his father-in-law, 65-year-old James Joseph Landry, have been charged and are due back in court June 24.
