Five posh streets in Metro Vancouver have ranked as some of the richest in Canada, according to a new survey from Canadian Business magazine.
The study, which surveyed Canada’s wealthiest neighbourhoods, also reveals in-depth statistics about the tony residents who call them home.
Households in each neighbourhood were ranked on net worth, income, home value, debt, lifestyle, voting preference and even how many bottles of champagne they consumed.
Four of the richest streets in Vancouver were, not surprisingly, located in the city’s westside neighbourhood of Shaughnessy and one was located in West Vancouver.
The neighbourhood of Altamont in West Vancouver was ranked as the wealthiest in Metro Vancouver, where residents had an average net worth of $7,170,565 and an average income of $353,634. The neighbourhood as a whole consumes an average of 39 bottles of champagne a month, and 48 bottles of imported wine.
Seventy four per cent of Altamont households vote Conservative federally, 18 per cent vote Liberal and only two per cent vote NDP.

Homes in that area are currently listed for between $1.6 million and $16.8 million, according to North Shore Realty.
The other four wealthiest streets are clustered around Angus Park in Vancouver’s Shaughnessy neighbourhood.
The richest streets are West 28th Avenue, Beverly Crescent, Cypress Crescent and Cedar Crescent.
Average net worth in those neighbourhoods hovered around $7 million and households had an average of $700,000 in debt, a higher number compared to Altamont’s average debt of $385,000.
Although the Vancouver households had the highest debt in the country, it only represents about 10 per cent of their total assets.
In Shaughnessy, 56 per cent of families surveyed voted Conservative federally, 36 percent voted Liberal and four per cent voted NDP.
Households on Cedar Crescent drank the most bubbly and imported wine, with 48 and 110 bottles consumed in the last month respectively.
Average disposable income was around $240,000 for Metro Vancouver’s poshest.
