CALGARY- A strange find at a Calgary landfill prompted a police investigation centered around a famous Hollywood actor.
An employee at the landfill contacted CPS on Thursday, after finding an old film strip that showed a man standing over a bloody body. Fearing it was evidence of a crime, he contacted police.
Investigators spent several hours analyzing the damaged images, before realizing they featured Canadian actor Dan Aykroyd of ‘Ghostbusters’ fame.

They contacted his representatives, and determined the photos were in fact from the 1990 movie Loose Cannons.
The investigation is now closed, but social media had fun with the story.
