VAUGHAN – York Regional Police say a man has been charged in an alleged assault on a female driver that occurred in a parking lot in Vaughan.
Police say the suspect, described as a 21-year-old Vaughan resident, was arrested on Sunday in his home after officers executed a search warrant.
Police say they were called to a local plaza on May 17 for a report of an assault.
Investigators say that a woman was driving through the parking lot when a man began riding toward her on a bicycle and then stopped in front of her vehicle.
After the woman honked the horn, the suspect allegedly walked to the car’s passenger side, spit in her face, broke the passenger car mirror, got back on his bike and rode away.
The man has been charged with assault, mischief and possession of cocaine.
