REGINA – The Saskatchewan government says it’s prepared to give flood-affected businesses more time to file provincial sales tax returns.
Finance Minister Ken Krawetz says owners can apply to have penalty and interest charges waived.

Returns are usually due by the 20th day of the month following the end of a reporting period.
Krawetz says the government is taking into account unusual circumstances in the province this spring.
Any request for filing relief must be in writing to the Finance Department and must include location and flooding details.
