RCMP on Vancouver Island now confirm a Hanson Island woman missing since late last month was murdered.
Investigators say 41-year-old Jennifer McPherson was killed on Hanson Island near Alert Bay.

McPherson’s husband, Traigo Andretti has been arrested and is charged with second degree murder in connection with her death.
Andretti will make a court appearance next week in Campbell River.
