Abbotsford police investigating second ‘shots fired’ incident at home within 24 hours

Abbotsford police are investigating a second shots fired incident in as many nights at the same home.

Police were called to the 2700-block of Interprovincial Road at around 3 a.m. Saturday morning.

A home and an empty vehicle were hit, but n one was hurt. Witnesses say a pick-up truck was seen fleeing the area.

Police say it’s the second day in a row there’s been gunfire at that location.

On Friday at 10:30 p.m., shots were fired at an unoccupied vehicle in the same rural area of southeast Abbotsford.

Police tracked three suspect vehicles westbound on Highway 1 and made seven arrests when the vehicles stopped in Langley.

A firearm, cell phones and suspected drugs and paraphernalia related to drug trafficking were also seized.

That investigation is ongoing.

Police say it’s not yet known why this residence has been targeted two nights in a row.

Video cameras have now been set up at the location by Abbotsford police.
