WINNIPEG – Waverley West will be getting its first school.
The province is holding a news conference on Tuesday at 11 a.m. to announce a new school for South Pointe families.
The school will be at the corner of Tim Sale Drive and Waverley Street, a map from the province shows.

Premier Greg Selinger, Education Minister Nancy Allan and Pembina Trails School Division board chairman David Johnson will be at the announcement at the Bairdmore Elementary School on Bairdmore Boulevard. The announcement was earlier scheduled for the school site but changed.
The provincial government has been rolling out a series of spending announcements following the April 16 release of the provincial budget.
A new kindergarten to Grade 8 school for Sage Creek was announced on Wednesday last week.
