Police say a Bowmanville woman went to the apartment looking for her boyfriend and found him with another woman.

Investigators say she then assaulted the other woman with a bottle of salad dressing, and the boyfriend was injured when he attempted to intervene.

Both suffered minor injuries.

The woman is charged with assault causing bodily harm and is to appear in court on May 23.
