Search continues for suspects in Isaiah Macnab killing: police

Six months after Isaiah Macnab was gunned down on a picnic bench in downtown Kitchener, the search continues for his killers.

“Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate the homicide of Isaiah Macnab and continue to reach out to the public for any additional information that will assist in the investigation,” Waterloo Regional Police spokesperson Cherri Greeno said in a statement.

Police have now released details of one of the two suspects in the case.

He is being described as a black man, who was wearing a dark hoodie and a baseball hat.

Macnab was killed in a brazen shooting in a parking lot on King Street in downtown Kitchener on Sept. 21 in an act police described as “targeted.”

Two suspects were seen running from the scene, leading to a police chase which ended in Mississauga.

Police say the suspect vehicle, a four-door Mercedes CLA 250, was last seen southbound on Trafalgar Road after exiting the eastbound lanes of Highway 401.

“We continue to appeal to the public for more information so we can bring some semblance of closure to the family and friends of Mr. Macnab, as well as to the community,” Greeno said.
