‘Lock it or lose it’: Police investigate several break-ins in North Dumfries

Waterloo Regional Police are warning residents to lock their vehicles and homes after receiving several reports of break-ins throughout the North Dumfries area.

Most of them happened through the overnight on Thursday, said Supt. Mike Haffner in a tweet.

Police said in one incident, a suspect managed to get inside a house and steal several items while the owners slept after finding a garage door opener in an unlocked vehicle.

In other instances, items and cash were reported stolen from unlocked vehicles.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
