The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority (UTRCA) notified police that the boating ban threshold had been met, with water levels reaching a hazardous point.

The boating ban will remain in place until further notice.

The UTRCA warns community members to exercise extreme caution and to stay off any and all bodies of water.

Water levels have been rising due in part to mild conditions, melting snow, and heavy rain on Thursday and Friday.
