An all new-look Team Jennifer Jones will be off to China for the Curling World Cup Grand Final.
The Olympic gold medalists have been chosen to replace Team Rachel Homan at the event in May.
But Team Jones will be sporting a different lineup for this bonspiel. Jones will skip with Kaitlyn Lawes at third, but neither lead Dawn McEwen, or second Jocelyn Peterman will make the trip. They’re bringing in former second Jill Officer to play lead for McEwen, and Shannon Birchard will throw the second stones.

Birchard has played with Team Jones in the past. She replaced Lawes at last year’s Scotties Tournament of Hearts while Lawes was at the Olympics.
Considering she’s semi-retired, it’s going to be a busy stretch for Officer. She’s serving as Chelsea Carey’s alternate at the World Women’s Curling Championship starting on Saturday in Denmark.
Team Homan is unable to attend the Curling World Cup with both the skip and their second Joanne Courtney being pregnant with summer due dates.
