Dundas Place is getting its first big chance to shine, thanks to JUNO week in London.
Dundas Place is London’s first flexible street which can be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic more easily and frequently than an average road, to allow for events.
“On Saturday, we’ll have another roster of bands playing and that’s through the London Music Office, actually. Those bands have been playing through the Host City Music Exchange program.”
Sewell adds that she’s excited to showcase what Dundas Place can offer.
“This is the portfolio piece for folks. So, if you’re a third-party organization or a community group and you come and experience things this week, the hope is that you can picture yourself throwing your own events on Dundas Street in Dundas Place. That’s what we hope people come away with like, ‘Oh, I could see my event here,’ because we want this space to be for the community.”
Traditional street closure signs are already in place notifying the public but more information, including a PDF of the street closure schedule as well as a timeline of events can be found on the Dundas Place website.
