HRM customer service centre, youth centre closed due to flood damage

The Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) says that its customer service centre and the Acadia youth centre in Sackville, N.S., will be closed for the remainder of the week due to flood damage.

The Acadia Centre, which houses both municipal programs, was temporarily closed on Monday due to flooding and it appears that the damage will be enough to close the facility for the week as repairs are carried out.

The HRM says other services in the Acadia Centre remain open at this time.

They’re encouraging customers who need to pay parking tickets or taxes to do so online at halifax.ca.

If citizens wish to do an in-person transaction, they’re encouraged to visit one of the four other municipal customer service centres across the HRM.

Normal service is expected to resume on Monday, March 18.
