$1,600 in drugs seized in Carden Street apartment building: Guelph police

Guelph police say two men are facing charges as part of a lengthy drug-trafficking investigation that led officers to an apartment building on Carden Street.

The investigation started earlier this year and police said their drug and tactical unit carried out a search warrant at the downtown building at around 4 a.m. on Thursday.

Officers arrested a 24-year-old man and a 27-year-old man, who are both from Guelph.

They are facing a long list of charges.

Police said $1,600 worth of drugs were seized including crystal meth, crack cocaine and fentanyl.

Police say they also found a Taser, machete and pellet gun, along with other weapons.
