17-year-old Kingston male charged with luring 2 youths in the U.K.

A 17-year-old Kingston youth is facing 10 charges for allegedly luring young female victims over the internet.

On Dec. 24, Kingston police were alerted to a child-luring investigation in the United Kingdom. According to police, two female youths were interacting with a Kingston teen over social media.

Police say through coercion, the Kingston teen obtained intimate pictures of both victims, who in turn contacted police in the U.K. to report the alleged crimes.

After an investigation, on Feb. 20, Kingston police executed a search warrant at a home in the east end of Kingston, where they say they seized a number of devices.

The 17-year-old was arrested and charged with two counts of luring a child, two counts of making child pornography, two counts of possession of child pornography, two counts of making sexually explicit material available to a child, accessing child pornography and making available child pornography.
