Hamilton police arrest more than a dozen people following early morning drug raids

More than a dozen people have been arrested, following early morning police raids in Hamilton.

Shortly after 5 a.m. Friday, Hamilton Police executed 13 search warrants, including the search of two vehicles and several hotel rooms.

During the search, officers seized a large quantity of “Purple Heroin” cocaine, methamphetamin and prescription pills valued at almost $140,000.

Thirteen people were arrested on various charges, including nine men and four women, ranging in age from 26 to 54.

“Getting these drugs off the streets is a good start but we’re not done,” says Supt. Ryan Diodati. “We appreciate the public assistance so far and we continue to encourage the public to come forward with information. Together, we can make sure Hamilton remains a safe place for everyone.”
