Canadian couples are divorcing differently, according to experts. Instead of heading to court, more are trying to solve financial and custodial issues on their own. Karen Stewart from Fairway Divorce Solutions joins us to talk about the trend and offers up some advice for people considering representing themselves.

And we introduce you to an app that’s taking custody disputes out of the courtroom and on to the smartphone. coParenter helps parents manage, organize and document co-parenting decisions around the kids. Jonathan Verk helped launch the app after he went through what he calls “a horrible litigated divorce.” He gives us some examples of how the app will resolve issues.
