A photo of a snow-covered lion sculpture posted to Instagram by Tourism Calgary this week is garnering some humorous reactions from social media users.
The picture shows one of the city’s iconic Centre Street lions covered in snow and perched atop Calgary in Rotary Park.
The serene winter scene is marred by the angle from which the photo is taken, which makes the sculpture look unintentionally phallic.
Comments about the picture include lots of double entendres (“that lion is awfully stiff”) and a few suggestive emojis (mostly eggplants.)
The picture was originally posted to Instagram by user @centrestreetlions on Jan. 18, and then reposted by Tourism Calgary on Monday.
Although Global News reached out to Tourism Calgary about the picture they declined to comment.
