When Justin Trudeau bought us a $4.5-billion pipeline, you may remember how Kinder Morgan’s CEO had questioned whether the pipeline could actually get built, at least by a private company.
The pipeline would twin with an already existing pipeline to carry Alberta’s natural resources to tidewater markets off the coast of British Columbia.
As of 2019, the pipeline is still not built, and the Parliamentary Budget Officer says that with every year it’s delayed, the resale value of it drops by $700 million.
The government planned to sell it once the flower blooms.
That doesn’t include a 10 per cent hike in construction costs per year for the delay, and to cap it off, we may have overpaid for it — just like Kathleen Wynne’s Liberals did with their energy schemes.

Anyone can lead a country as great as Canada when the going is good.
Trudeau, however, is constantly over-promising and under-delivering.
During the last election campaign, the Conservatives said Justin Trudeau wasn’t ready. Perhaps they were right. And considering his elitist upbringing and lack of empathy for the middle class, will he ever will be?
We’re still waiting for that — and for the pipeline.
