Man charged with impaired driving following vehicle stop in Lindsay

A Lindsay, Ont., man faces impaired-driving charges following a traffic stop on Thursday night.

City of Kawartha Lakes Police say around 10:10 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle travelling east on Kent Street in Lindsay.

An investigation by the officer determined that the driver allegedly had more than the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.

Andrew Edwards, 51, of Lindsay, was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and failing or refusing to comply with a demand to provide a breath sample.

He was released and will appear in court in Lindsay on Feb. 28.
