A family of six is now homeless after losing their home to a fire in Pilot Butte early Sunday morning.
Two members of the Stadynk family were inside the home at the time of the blaze – the 19-year-old daughter and 22-year-old son.
Both were treated at hospital. The daughter was released on Sunday, while the son returned home Monday morning, the family confirmed.
The Pilot Butte Fire Department were called by a neighbour to the home shortly after 3:30 a.m.
“My (husband) phoned the fire department right away, called it in and ran down the stairs and rushed out the door,” said Keshia Peter, neighbour.
Crews worked throughout the night at the Plains Road property, wrapping things up around 7:30 a.m.

“Everybody is thinking of them, and wish them the best and we will all do our best to help them,” Peter said.
According to a GoFundMe Page set up on Sunday, the rest of the Stadnyk family were away in Winnipeg for a ringette tournament when the fire broke out.
The GoFundMe Page has reached over $8,000.
