Belleville police have confirmed that a body was found on the Loyalist College campus.
According to police, the body was found early Wednesday morning in a student residence. The residences where the student was found serve as a home for domestic, foreign and mature students.
Police are not considering the death suspicious, and Staff Sgt. Rene Aubertin with Belleville police said the person died of natural causes.
Loyalist College confirmed that the person who died was a student, but would not release the age and gender of the person who died.
Since they aren’t investigating the death as suspicious, police would not release any more information about the incident.
The college is also pro-actively reaching out to students that may have been affected by the death to offer counselling services.
